Please join us Friday December 4th from 6-8pm at The New Parkway Theater (474 24th St, Oakland, CA 94612) for the The Youth Impact Hub Oakland – Film & Fellowship Showcase. Sponsored by Akonadi, 50 Fund and PG&E Foundation. This program will screen some of the most innovative short films created this year in Oakland, and honor youth entrepreneurs and filmmakers of color from Youth Impact Hub Oakland.

This year’s program features short films created by De’Mario Lewis and DaShawn Clinton, recent recipients of the Innovator Award at the 2015 East Bay Youth Media Awards, as well a sneak preview of the new Black Panther documentary film “My People are Rising” created by award-winning filmmaker Rafael Flores of the Green Eyed Media Collective and the United Roots Media Enterprise.

Additional films to be screened include: “Amor for Alex”, a short film investigating the 2014 Alex Nieto Murder Case and “Color Correction” a short narrative produced by the DetermiNation Media Group.

Admission is Free! Suggested donation of $10-$20.
