This month the video department at United Roots was invited to screen their most recent work at Google’s Campus in Redwood City for the 2018 Google Black Cinema Showcase.  In honor of Black History Month, we have several black and brown youth filmmakers share their work and host a panel discussion about art, resistance and activism in the modern era.  Filmmakers included: Raymundo Peralta, Tiphereth Banks, Venus Morris and Cordell “Deli” Hayes.  Special excerpts were also shared by Design Coordinator Demsond Holt and Media Production Coordinator Rafael Flores.  This is the second time the UR Media team has been invited to Google to screen their films as an effort to promote the creation of a Media & Tech Career Pipeline for Youth of Color in the Bay Area.
