United Roots Video Clips: Occupy Oakland General Strike
From October 10th onwards, Oakland became the epicenter of the nation’s Occupy movement, making history on November 2nd, with a general strike that occupied downtown with thousands for a day of actions and celebrations. United Roots staff and youth held down a side stage, opening up space for engaged youth voices, in solidarity with keeping public space public and democracy, participatory.
