United Roots Collaborates on Video PSA for September 17th Peace March in Oakland

It’s time to put an end to the senseless violence in Oakland!
Join Soldiers Against Violence Everywhere, concerned citizens, businesses and churches as we STAND UP for peace in the streets on September 17th. We will march from Cesar Chavez School to Oakland City Hall starting at 11:00am. Then at 1:00pm, a citywide Peace Rally will be held at Frank Ogawa Plaza with special guest speakers, musical performances and resource info for victims of violent crime and for crime prevention. If you are from Oakland, live in Oakland, visit Oakland, have family in Oakland or just hecka love the Town, come out and let your voice be heard!

Saturday, September 17 · 11:00am – 3:00pm
11:00am – Start at Cesar Chavez School at 29th & E. 14th in Oakland
1:00pm – Rally at Frank Ogawa Plaza at Broadway Ave & 14th St.
