To celebrate the opening of the new Green Youth Arts & Media Center we organized an event to invite the community and our supporters to come see the new Center. At the event each of the core partner organizations, Art in Action, Grind for the Green, Colored Ink and Community Rejuvenation Project showcased some of their art and did presentations about their programs. The opening of the Center was facilitated by legendary hip-hop rapper Casual from Heiroglyphics and world famous DJ and hip-hop journalist Davey D, with special guests D’Wayne Wiggins and Keyshia Cole’s mom. Over 300 people from the Bay Area attended this historic event.
